I usually never carry cash with me. I'm into the whole "electronic currency" format known as the debit card. Bills are bothersome and coins...well coins just love to go missing. My debit card, on the other hand, fits snuggly into my wallet and never seems to walk away and hide between the cushions.

My debit card is always there when I need it and wherever I go.. well, that is everywhere but Tim Hortons.

I don't know how many times I've had to go hungry or hot chocolate deprived during the winter season, simply because I didn't have cash on hand. My debit card is inferior, useless and frowned upon at Timmies, which of course makes me very, very frustaurated.

You would think that such a massive coffee supplier -because we all know that Timmies is almost it's own food group to so many people- would accept debit as another form of payment. Debit is so popular among customers who don't want to take the time to scavenge and sort their pennies and nickles to pay for their double-double.

Besides, wouldn't Timmies just attract more business if they became more accesible to debit-users such as myself?

I think people really need to voice themselves and tell them to get with the times and start accepting debit. I'm sure the hundreds upon hundreds of people that frequent Timmies on a daily basis would be heard.

But what do I know? All I want is my hot chocolate, with a boston cream donut on the side.
